This video was produced by Ford Shankle and his students to inform the public about the controversy surrounding the construction of a 300-megawatt Robinson Power Plant near McDonald, Pennsylvania. Will the plant add to the existing air pollution problem? Joe Pezze from the Hillcrest Group and Lisa Marcucci and Cathy Lodge from Residents Against (the) Power Plant speak out with very differing views! The plant may be built in Washington County, near Pittsburgh. Recently the watchdog government agencies recinded the air polution permit. Recertification will have to be redone! fordshankle.com

  • The fly ash argument isn't valid. Waste coal is just as dangerous as fly ash. Waste coal is leeching just as fly ash would. Although, the filtering that will take place after waste coal ignition will remove many of the dangers before the fly ash is processed. The fly ash will not contain many of the dangerous chemicals that the waste coal is now leeching into your watershed.

  • Buy my house so I can leave, then build the plant
