Even if the fossil record didn't exist evolution would still be the best theory. We know that we will neither find more then 10% of all of the species that ener lived let alone ones that didn't have hard body parts. The farther back we look the more like the fossils we're looking for have been destroyed by geology. How do you explain the fossil reccord we do have?
That's the conservation of mass. It has nothing to do with biology. Biogenesis means life from life. Abiogenesis mean life from non life. If god is outside of nature (some how) then his existence doesn't matter.
@DeanTheMarine I would doubt that ''god'', if there is such a thing, would have left us some kind of way to prove him. I mean, if he wanted to hide (witch he obviousley does), he wouldnt be found, cuz, well, hes god. I think it show our arrogance, as a species, to think there is some kind of life after death, that god has chosen us. Open your eyes people. We a just 1 species in billions, inhibiting a small planet in the middle of a wast universe, there is nothing special about us.
Any being that lives in a higher dimension i would ultimately assume was god. the idea of something (god) being "created" eg "a beginning" is a perception of a lower dimensional creature such as ourselves. a creature that lives inside the prison of time. but my question is...is it possible to have "life" in higher dimensions, and besides robots is it possible to have intelligence without possessing life?
@RSKullcrusha Well, what is life? Life basicley is a machine, - its one big cemical reaction. Inteligence? Our inteligence is made out of small ''robots'' (neurons) that, when alone, dont have any meaning, but only when you get them together, do they make thought etc. I would say it would be possible to make a conscious robot some time in the future.
i suppose i meant to say computers. yeah but the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, dont you think? consciousness has to be something that exists in another dimension. perhaps we are tethered to something much "bigger" that we cannot see or understand, but links all life together.
Because in the Bible he said that we would be able to recognize his existence by the design he left behind, for instance the complex molecular structures and nano machine inside the cell, like the Flagellar motor, or for instance our ability to recognize intelligent cause, like of we were to come across Mt. Rushmore would anyone here say that was created by natural selection or design?
Why do you assume that the Bible is so authoritative on this subject?
But of course no one would say that Mt. Rushmore was a product of natural selection because mountains neither struggle to survive nor reproduce with each other and the interesting features exhibited by Mt. Rushmore don't increase its chances of doing either of these things.
Those are noncompareable. Scientist have already shown how the Flagellar motor could have evolved. Get more up to date imformation. The eye of the squid is more or lest the eye of a human without the design flaws. Show either we have random design, bias design or evolution.
