  • @parkmotter its drop d tunning, deadmans D or something, dDAd drop the g to a low D and drop the E down so that it synchs with the 3rd finger on the A string (D)

  • Really liked your history and anaysis of this immortal classic! I had never heard Copeland's version in its entirety before but was familiar with the others being a BIG fan of the work the Lomaxes did for the Library of Congress. Thank God he had the foresight, perseverance, and tenacity to get out in the Boonies and make all of those fabulous field recordings!
