The Gretsch Black Penguin could be the ultimate Gretsch guitar, combining all the bling of the Falcon with the elegant shape and styling of the Duo Jet. The resonant thump of the chambered mahogany body and maple top melds perfectly with the bite of the DynaSonic Single Coil pickups, resulting in a tone that has as much warmth as it does grind. Individual and master volume
controls, with a master tone and a 3-way pickup selector, offer a unique palette of sonic possibilities perfect for dirty rock, blues, country, and rockabilly. The Gretsch Black Penguin 's neck is made of one solid piece of mahogany capped with a 12" radius ebony fingerboard, and inlaid with stylish hump-block inlays. @TomRAFC it's cool to hear the smiths in a guitar review. it's usually heavy rock or country/blues (no that there's anything wrong with that!) but it was nice to hear that great riff

@klukke The RAT pedal is an original first issue big box RAT from 1979. Not the "vintage" reissue.
