Thank God for the longevity of magnetic cassette tape (don't throw them out just yet!). A made up video entry for all true Happy Goodman Family fans and fans of Johnny Cook. 32 years ago I took my Sony cassette recorder with me to hear my friend Johnny sing with the Goodmans. From the front row, and with mastering help from Magix systems - for your blessing again and again - here are the Goodmans at the true height of their career. Hands down the best gospel singing you will ever hear!
One of my all time favorite gospel songs ever! Favoriting!

Thanks for posting this song. No other group seems to bring energy to this song.

What a wonderful song this was; this is probably one of my all time favorite southern gospel songs! FIVE stars; I am so glad I am saved! :) What a beautiful day that will be when Christ comes to take His Children home to Glory! :)

I was 14 when I saw Johnny at CBN. I wanted to marry him right then! I thought he was the cutest thing I had ever seen! I raised my own kids on his voice! Can't let that voice be forgotten....

Johnny was the best...How he could keep a lozenge in his mouth while he hit those notes was a miracle.

In the lower picture the person on the left is my cousin Duke Dumas, I love getting to hear him play live.
