Creston, East Grand Rapids exchange

Just as the Creston High School football team was to play its first conference game against East Grand Rapids last September, a student was killed in a drive-by shooting.

Although the shooting was unrelated to the game, it was postponed, but the students decided to take action. They began "friending" each other on Facebook, making a connection. The goal: not to allow racism and ignorance keep them apart.
