Short Synopsis:
Efecto Kuleshov Caribe (Caribbean Kuleshov Effect) is an experimental video art that reconstructs the editing experiment made by Lev Kuleshov circa 1918, using duplicated footage to observe different circumstances, creating in the spectator various sensations, such as, appetite, attraction, lust, sadness.
Efecto Kuleshov Caribe inserts a tragic episode occurred in the life of the director to convey it's sense of loss for his daughter.
The Soundtrack is by Gustavo Arambilet (Anatta, Tarragona, 2008).
Director's Biography:
Luis Arambilet (born September 16, 1957 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) is a writer, screen player, film producer and director, editor and graphic artist. Arambilet Won the Dominican National Literary Award in 1994 with the short stories book "Cayenne petals" and again in 2005 with the Alfaguara novel: "Neguri's secret". In 2005 he wrote three screenplays: "Neguri's Secret", "The golden manatee mystery" and "The sword and the cross". Arambilet also produced, directed and edited "Neguri's secret". In 2006 wrote, directed and edited three short films: "Waltz" (Vals), "Sepiazul", and "Luck". Presently he is an associated executive producer of Barlovento CinemArt and 24fps Films Production Society.
