I have a 2000 Sierra 2500 SLT 4X4. I was having a time getting my rear disc brake rotor off so I could work on my parking brake. My Chilton manual didn't give any suggestions on how to get it off. Thanks for saying it was "OK" to hit the rotor surface on the backside to get the stuck rotor off. It worked. Now I just have to figure out how to work on the parking brake.

personaly i find it easyer just to remove the caliper from the bracket before removing bracket it self.
also i have noticed that most of the guys dont use any grease on the pads where they mount to the bracket and you put anti seize on the side of the hub where the disc is mounted, also put a little anti seize on the outside of the disc and on the studs so the wheels wont rust stuck

@rambonolie Thanks for the compliment and suggestion. I'll add that to the list but not sure when I will do the video.
It's same job on Chevy Tahoe 2007?

@hp11208 It should be similar if it isn't exactly the same process.
