My English Bulldog Hershey Whining

Hershey makes some pretty unique noises to let me know she would prefer that I spend more time with her and less time doing work. After I put the camera down she finally got on my lap, but then my other dog Buddy couldn't contain his jealousy.

She gets no shortage of head patting, belly rubbing, couch snuggling or anything else....sometimes she thinks it is just not enough. It isn't unusual for her to sit on my lap and help me work on the computer, or drive the car.  It's true that a bulldog is an oversized lapdog.

We have an English bulldog we trained as a service dog (seizure alert & response) and the whining is the one thing we have never been able to stop. In classes, at work, she gets bored and starts on it. such a stubborn breed, they believe they are the most important thing in your life and the computer and anything else your paying attention to must die... (im on my 4th set of Ipod head phones) Why do they have to be such good dogs????

Yeah, stubborn to say the least. I had two bulldogs and unfortunately the male was in an accident and is no longer with us. He was more obedient and I'd dare say not as smart as Hershey. She is not only stubborn but very smart, which makes for quite the princess. The two together had such complementary personalities. They are fantastic dogs...so much personality.

My Samson makes a similar noise when he wants to get up on our bed. we don't allow him on our bed. he's allowed up on the bed only when I ok it. and that bulldog's yawning melts my heart, so up he goes on our bed.

my pug makes noises like that, it just breaks my heart that i have to stop what im doing and play with her lol

Glad to know I'm not the only one with this problem. My bully does the same damn thing in the same way and tone. I think it's because they are S-P-O-I-L-E-D! :)
