Vagrant Story Boss: Fire Elemental

Gee, isnt it convenient that they give you the Frost Fusion spell like two rooms before this boss? XD Seriously though, just slap the Undine Jasper on your favorite edged or blunt weapon, and then cast Frost Fusion. YOU WIN!!! Oh, and attack the body instead of the arms - the arms will frequently block your chains.

For defense (like youre gonna need it) put the Salamander Ruby in a shield and equip the Salamander Ring and the best magic resistant crap you have. (Bandages, Sandals, Wizard Robe, Bear Mask). Use Fireproof or Reflect Magic as your defense ability. Screw the Pyro Guard spell - Frost Fusion is so much better.

I think this guy is supposed to have the Flame Sphere spell since he drops it after the battle... but I dont think I have ever seen him actually use it! He seems really hell-bent on using the weak Fireball spell over and over and over and over...

This guy is so full of FAILURE that hell run out of MP after just a few Fireball spells and will have to waste a turn restoring his MP with a Mana Tonic. Hes pretty much just a regular enemy given a fancy intro and boss music, in fact, he actually becomes a normal non-boss enemy not much later on. XD

I loved this game, it was diferent from all rpg's, i beat it so many times that my HP was 999 and MP 66 and something i learned all spells all weapons class atacks and all grimore's, except BANISH grimore i never found theat grimore.

My caracter become so powerfull that in the battle were i fought along Sidney, I was able to kill him with just one hit.

That was a very good game, I like'd the sound in this game alot too.

I just beat this guy and it took me soooo long, I didn't get the frost fusion and fire resistant items till after I beat him, I used up most of my vera items then i was screwed on the damned Ogre.

this is my second playthrough after years and i never finished this game, i remember having passed after the triceratops boss in a forest

now i'm suposed to play better but hell i'm not sure what weapons to create because once you forge them they wont come back do they?

also how do you know how to make a good weapon anyway

Yeah, this is my fifth playthrough, so I kinda know what I am doing.

Vagrant Story is a very odd game. It's like you can either damage a boss or it will completely wall you. Everyone on their first playthrough has plenty of "AAARGGH! WHY DO ALL MY WEAPONS DO 0 DAMAGE!?" moments.

Plus, I probably make chaining look easier than it actually is. I mean, I certainly wasn't pulling 8+ chains consistently on my first playthrough. XD
