Roy Scheider's first movie! Shot under and around New York City in September 1964. Directed by Academy Award winning director John G. Avildsen (Rocky, The Karate Kid). Featuring the stunning Missy McCall. Martin Scorsese worked on this film as a production assistant while a film student at NYU! This sweet little film is also a valentine to New York City.
Wow, great find. Actually had no idea that this shortfilm existed. Thanks for posting.

I saw Scheider in a 1967 episode of NYPD where he went under the name Roy R. Scheider. Obviously, he experimented using his middle name initial for a while.
This film is surprisingly well-made. How, for instance, did they stage and light that subway station with so many extras on a seemingly limited budget?

I had no idea this existed. I have followed Scheider for a long time and never saw this mentioned in any of his bios. Thanks for posting. Also: Looking forward to IRON CROSS.

Avildsen, Scorcese and Schneider...three masters all starting on the same short film. Pretty damn cool.
