The win of Lumad in Aliwan 2008 over this Dinagyang tribe was vigorously protested to this day. One could suspect that Lumad was given the privilege (sic) to win as it is their 3-straight win at the Aliwan and the corresponding award.

@jhaijames ows your pathetic.. di hamak mas ok naman ang ugali ng mga ilonggo kesa cebuano... bacolod and cdo are just behind iloilo kaya nga sya ang regional capital ng wester visayas kasi nga sya ang mas may kaya kesa bacolod but still bacolod is the twin ciy of iloilo. for your info mga haciendero ng negros occidental are from Iloilo incase you dont know pare review your history.,

tama ka jan pre. wag nlng ikumpara kc sa sayaw nga nahihirapan na cla mkisabay sa cebu, sa ibang aspeto pa kaya? bwahahahah. iloilo is just 2nd to CEBU in everything sa visayas. even davao, bacolod and cdo are far better than iloilo.

nag-iisa lang ang festival na pinagmamalaki ng Cebu: Sinulog lang tpos puro pa taga Leyte ang kasali.
ang Iloilo, sangkatutak ang festival na pwedeng sumali sa Aliwan, pero dahil sa rules ng Aliwan na two contingents per province, winners lng ng two main festivals ang pinapadala.
nangyari na kasi na maraming festivals ang pinadala ng Iloilo, lahat ay pumasok sa top 10 and it happened last 2005 & 2006. thats why Aliwan made a rule na tig-dalawa lng para mapagbigyan nmn ang ibang festivals.

Lahat kasing winners ng Sinulog hindi galing sa Cebu. Sinanduloy who won in SB and Streetdancing categories is from Misamis Occidental, while Buyogan who won in FI category is from Leyte.
Dinaig pa ng mga taga ibang-lugar ang mga taga Cebu sa artistry.
