Paul Jenkins Abstracts -Unmarried Woman Movie

I remember the interesting paint pouring sequences and suspected that the paintings were actually by the famous Paul Jenkins. Sure enough, they're not only his, but this scene was filmed in his own studio at the time. Interesting methods!

Aaah...now I understand. Alan Bates portrayed Paul Jenkins, the artist. The movie was actually filmed in Paul Jenkin's studio loft with some of his work on loan for the movie. And, yes, your description says that, doesn't it? That will teach me to read first, won't it? LOL!

Well, he was just a fictional character and most certainly didn't resemble Jenkins in the least!

Sorry, I no longer have the video to do anymore uploads! (Try Nexflix) I really only remember the painting scene and went back to it to confirm my suspicions about the artwork. But it did seem to encapsulate the 70's to me, much like Annie Hall did.

I must say that I loved the chemistry between these two! Alan did a good job playing Paul or Saul or whatever his name was. LOL!

Me too. What I loved about her performance is the amount of HONESTY she brought to that part. I believed every second of her performance. It was like a said a good performance.
