  • I live in Southern California and have St. Augustine grass. I low cut the grass, apply the winter rye grass seed then roll on steer manure. I also run the sprinklers ASAP to cut the smell of the manure. I usually do this toward the end of October.

  • I also live in AZ. I'm an Ohioan who's never had to plant before. Do you suggest spreading manure or straw for coverage after Rye seed spreading? Also, do you suggest seeding again in the summer with Bermuda? I do have brown patches. Thanks!
