He's a man that's seen literally thousands of shows on countless stages. But Broadway critic Richard Connema still called the Chinese New Year spectacular a quote, "mind-blowing" experience.

Richard Connema, critic for Talkin' Broadway and seasoned theater patron has the highest praise for Divine Performing Arts' Chinese New Year Spectacular in San Francisco.

"I probably have reviewed over 3 to 4 thousand shows since 1942. A lot of reviewers use stars, you know, 1 star, 2 stars, 3 stars, 4 stars, 5 stars... I will give this production 5 stars. That's the top," he said.

"The dancers were absolutely fantastic ... I found out that there was not only dancing in this but heart. You could feel that coming even from where I was sitting ... Just a beautiful production. I found that those backdrop scenes and the way it was projected and the way it comes out is absolutely fantastic.

"I've never seen anything like that. I've seen enough Broadway shows that still cannot compare to what I saw tonight The best word to use was "mind blowing". And I watched around the audience and they all were so involved with everything going on.

"There's movement between everything, even the narrators coming up, giving you a little insight and they move right into a dance... perfect!"

This is the best stage show I have ever seen in my life. My whole family enjoyed it very much last year. I can't wait to see it again this year.

wow.. this show was crazy good -- I'm into hip hop and electronic music and this show absolutely was mindblowing. Can't express enough how awesome this was. I saw a few people actually in tears over the part with Falun Dafa. Its a human rights issue and its Chinese -- seems pretty relevant to me

This is a fabulous show. My friends and I went to the show several times. We loved it. The dances are so beautiful which I have never seen before. I'd rate 5 star for this show.

I went to the show last year at L.A. If you understand Chinese, all the lyrics was about Falun Dafa. We expected a show celebrating tradtitional Chinese New Year, and were disappointed.

perhaps if you wrote your comment in proper English might I even attempt to contemplate the authenticity of your claim, and not just pass you off as a troll. I have seen the show multiple times, and I can say first-hand that it is most definitely Chinese, but most definitely not Communist. its themes are the traditional spiritual and aesthetical essence of 5000 years of _true_ chinese history not 50 years of Communist indoctrination.

This is not Chinese, it is an Americain show, very bad, dull and no spectacular dances at all. Terrible. It is only business and no art. Not real, you has to be ashamed !! Amsterdam feels disappointed. We in the Netherlands are use to better !! MONEY, MONEY and No Art !

This show is beyond compare....I've seen it 2 years running, and there is nothing else like it in the world....I would highly recommend it to anyone....it is an absolute must see.
