@spike8742 what about other ppl. sorry i dont get your question
-
so weird to hear these hooded men that look like 'celibate' monks talking about such things as the content of the lyrics of this song!! And just to be pedantic with the crazy arguments on here - it does become polyphonic at the end when they do a few harmonies! lol!
-
@Pansikoser Exactly, that is the only point Im making. It is not gregorian chan in no sense. It is boring also.
-
@MrCrgl *nods* i see... sad that the accompanying other elements of its harmony makes the genre loose it's essence... but it does sound very nice to the ears
-
@Pansikoser My clarification is simple: gregorian chant is monophonic, meaning that just one line of melody is present. This "gregorian" chanters sing in harmony (poliphonically). Did you underestand ?
-
@MrCrgl thank you for the confusing clarification, but at some point i would love to hear the information you will share in the future to sound less obnoxious and arrogant, i'm sad to say but you... type... like one... also do not reason with me that you are just correcting someones mistake... there are much positive ways of doing it, excuse my intrusion and unrelated comment to the video...

@slaxxgurl ok, fair enough, this is not gregorian chant in any sense.
-
@MrCrgl *headdesk* you know what? i'm not going to reply to you again after this. because, yeah, call me ignorant if you want to, i don't really care. and i know the diff between mono and pol"y"phonic, one of which is the spelling, yeah? so, ok. i'm the idiot and you're the genius. happy now? ok. i'm just gonna listen here and keep quiet, while you go ahead and wallow in your super bright halo of self-confidence. tata~

@slaxxgurl yes, I can see your ignorance on the subject. You dont know the difference between monophonic and poliphonic chant.

'Gregorian' are a group of top session singers and musicians that perform music in the 'chant' style. There is no need to get hung up on religious connotations. Just listen to the beautiful music and enjoy. As I do.
