The reason why Sideways didnt transform from Sideswipe was because Sideswipe shot Sideways' radar which let Sideways unable to see where Sideswipe was and then Sideswipe threw his blade on Sideways which jammed Sideways from transforming which led to his death.

the scenes dont make sense... at :46... Sideways is close the yellow thing then at 0:47 when Sideswipe transforms.. ( the scene changes.. and now Sideways is like.. farther back again..not close to the yellow thing) and at the end... he ends up exploding next to the yellow thing
