  • I live in a Jesus Army comunity atm, and i liv in the same house as the Jesus Army leader and they are not at all controling, they do have rules in community bcause we all have to live 2gether. There is a cp where we share our money for food petrol etc. but you have a year to decide if u wanna be part of community b4 u hav to do that. and let me assure u all mik (the leader) is not rich he has the same life as the rest of us infact he is far more humble than most of the younger lads here

  • Jesus Army are a very shady bunch, .

  • This seems like a good place for people who know very little of the Jesus Army to relise bitterness that some people have had or do have with the J/A. Sad really. May anyone who does have bitterness towards the J/A. I pray that you may find healing & peace.

  • to be dreaded. the hours of prayer was unbearable to me. i found most of the members very nice people, but totally brainwashed and lacking any spirit of independence. i was a cult, no doubt at all. whether the ''modern'' JA is better or not remains to be seen. their reputation some years ago was bad, putting it mildly. noel stanton was raking in the cash, too many members had religious mania which they mistook for loving god and it's bad to be like that as it turns people away from jesus.

  • i was once part of the jesus army (many years ago), so i know my stuff. now the JA just HAD to change their name didn't they? they also had to have a different approach to people too. not so long ago they were controlling and manipulative with all their members. you were told who you could and couldn't have for a bf or gf and if you lived in one of their houses you were obliged to give your earnings over. disobey any of their rules and you were OUT, and for a homeless person that was something

  • There are some things about the Jesus army which aren't right, but that it true of ANY organisation, christian or secular. People are human, and don't always get it right. They are MUCH different from the insular group they were in the 1970s and 80s. They are now very outward focussed, and much more mainstream ('normal') in their view, and position of women - ie wearing trousers etc. Not sure about their approach to relationships, which used to be dire. There are many with good hearts.

  • There was someone found dead in a field behind their new creation farm.another member broke into a ladys house and raped and murdered them because the jesus army stopped them taking his medication, in fact there are lots of mysterious deaths i found on net. They are dangerous, brainwashed controlling indeviduals. they have pots of money they have collected from members, so much they have main headquarters in canary wharf. my brother nearly signed his house and everything to them. stay away

  • jesus army are a cult. on the surface they look like they do good but its all a smoke screen. some of my family were involved till they learnt how to live again. They make you give them all your money. They prey on the weak, mentally ill, people in rehap, homeless. they influence every part of your life. They dont say who you cant marry but influence who your with. My neice wasnt alowed anywhere whithout her " spiritual sister" for guidance, and was told what boys to see.

  • I used to belong to the Jesus People, then they turned into the Jesus Army.

I have asked Mick Hayes to help stop the secret family courts trafficking thousands of UK children every year, but he will not reply to me.

I was bullied in the JA. I am a child abuse survivor.

  • what a ridiculous load of nonsense putting blight on a good part of the Christian church and Christ's body and bride. I have known the Jesus Army for a number of years now, but I am not a member, the 'control' I think these people speak of is probably the perfectly reasonable everyday household rules that people need to stick to if they live in a community house, such as going to work, doing chores etc, be careful what you say against people who truly belong to God, He will not be amused lol
