That is a great idea Magicgauger the only problem might be that they would set the hack to print your receipt with your actual vote but still record the other, and even though you have physical confirmation of your vote it wouldn't matter because they wouldn't be able to record your vote that way because it would just be corrupted in other ways such as mail fraud. It's sad.

You know what they should do? Print out a receipt for each of us that details all we voted for. It would stay personal and we would have a record of the vote to confirm.

Here in Oregon we vote by mail, a traceable ballot there to ensure a hand count w/ a human can occur but a tallying machine is still used. If the vote is very close a hands on count can be demanded but I don't think anyone really questions the pc that does the counting ordinarily.
So far it appears to work fairly decently. If McCain takes OR then I'll be suspicious of what we have here.

no wonder diebold changed their name...to what, escapes me rite now, but they operate under a diff name....how sad and typical that the CEO OF THE COMPANY WANTED GEORGE BUSH TO WIN OHIO AND THEN THE ELECTION. more abuse of power republican mindset destroying the founding fathers vision.

If you listened closely, both Republicans and Democrats are in effect buying votes. We can not allow this to continue.

Everyone should watch this. My municipality just voted against getting and using a Premier/Diebold optical scanner etc system.

What actually convinced city council was not what I said about Premier/Diebold, but that it's cheaper to use people to count the ballots and pay the people well.

I just got tundra stare when I said Diebold.
