Footage captured between January 2007-2010 during FEC's SD70M-2 era in the nation's oldest city, which happens to be one of the most popular spots on FEC to watch trains. While all of this compilation is in Saint Augustine, it could be considered follow-up to "EMD SD70M-2 Testing on FEC" & "RailAmerica's Florida East Coast Railway: January 2009" also here on YouTube.

  • SO why the ditch lights do not flash on the SD70's when they blow the whistle? Thanks!!

  • I wish I could go to the train station and buy a tickett to where ever i needed to go in the U.S. I know this is not the uk but I hope one day I can doit

  • Its that the bridge just by the Quality Inn on front of the Welcome Center in Ponce de Leon Blvd? I've been in SA like five times since 2008 and I love it!

  • I visited St. Augustine recently and was impressed by how well maintained the FEC's mainline looks. Just fantasy, but with that historical district being close to the mainline, it would make sense that this town be served by Amtrak. Of course that would be a political ball of wax and the FEC would have to be willing if the funding does come available.

  • Very enjoyable and well composed videos. Is there a way to find out when the trains are coming through?

  • Nice vid! Florida East Coast Railway is cool!

  • Great catches there, dude!

  • A great compilation Kevin - thanks for posting

  • awesome videos

    five stars

  • Wow great catches! I've lived in St. Augustine for a year and half and I've never seen foreign locomotives run through here. I should think about railfanning this line more. Another good spot to try if you railfan here again is the SR 16 crossing. If you go on the bridge just west of the crossing you'll get a grand view of the tracks between the crossing and the trestle.
