  • @fide9 A good sprawl and/or a Uchimata has always been a safe reliable answer to a leg grab. I am going to disagree with you on one point, devolving the sport. Morote gari is not that big a deal. The Brazilian Judokas in my club kill this bent over style with yoko tomonage, and hit it often. I judge because I understand, not because I am ignoring the obvious. None of the top competitors seem to have any problems dealing with leg grabbing individuals. Just need to improve their Judo if the fail

  • @G0dspelronin Come on guys. Understand the real meaning of why they took them out.. When leg grabs existed lots of judokas, just bent themselves over, did nothing at all and all of a sudden did a leg grab and won easily, people used to rely a lot in them. Eventually took a lot of the sport's beautifulness. Techniques that dont involve grabing legs are much more spectacular. I think we all agree on that. There are two sides to those rules, dont judge if u do not understand why they really did it.

  • @TheTerrorUforgot Agreed...We have been practicing these techniques safely forever. I don't understand the rationalization of removing leg grabs at all. Your comment is very well put...weaken the art indeed

  • This is judos rendition of a double leg takedown.

  • @TheTerrorUforgot And they call themselves "Experts".

  • @kanguesso Thanks to a bunch of idiots who would weaken the entire martial art for the sake of the fucking Olympics.

  • I guess this throw is not permitted in competition Judo anymore.

  • excelente

  • morote gari is now effectively banned from judo competition until at least 2012 Dec! Source: International Judo Federation "New rules for the period from 1/01/2010 to 31/12/2012" I think it's outrageous.

  • si..al final se ve muy bien como brinca y cae de pura cabeza, no alcanzo a dar la maroma! Si lo tumbo, pero a que precio jajaj
