@motleysixx666 go into a guitar store and play one for yourself. im personaly a p-bass player and i love this thing...hate j-bass necks but the satin finish on the back is to die for hehe...anyway play one for yourself and find out.

Actually you can just use your thumb. It would be a much easier transition than using the fingers.
If you like the sound of using a pick there is nothing wrong with that either. Good playing and thanks for the demo. I just ordered this bass yesterday. Peace.
