With the lack of inlays (I know they're on the side too - but I always used to rely on the fret board inlays to navigate - now when i jump up more than say 4 frets i loose count of what fret I'm on and end up 1 fret out (and if I jump an octave up to around 17th fret I sometimes end up 2 frets away!!!)

Do I have to adjust my approach to lead work? ie - start thinking about the fretboard in a different way, instead of relying on markers?

You can read the markers of frets on the side of the neck, isn't it ??

is there a difference between the SZ320 and the SZ520 besides the model name and inlays?

I Think the pickups aren't the same, but i don't know if the wood or other things are different.

if it has the individual inlays its a 720 i think, correct me if im wrong. I like the transparent green myself...mainly cause thats what i have.

I'm sorry, but it's is really a 520, with only one inlay, but it is a limited edition of ibanez, with splitable Ibanez pickups and not Duncan/Ibanez

SZ was the best Ibanez series out there. Too bad they discontinued it.

@zdsguitar I have my 520qm in Lapis Blue :D its the darker one. Maybe one day I'll post on youtube if I can buy a decent camera.

@phallystorm SZ is where its at man, I used SZRs' the construction and craftsmanship felt out of place compared to the SZ made in Korea. Just didn't like the feel I have an SZ520qm in Lapis Blue, but I wouldn't sell it for a thing in the world

@daredevils4 SZs' are thick guitars, so it might be near to impossible to put a tremolo system on one.

I just recently got one of these except mine is like a transparent blue :) Plays very nicely and I love the neck thru design, its comfortable :)
