Stephen Harper is Canada's Best PM!! President Obama and the Democrats are more in line with Canada's Conservative Gov't than people would like to admit. Canadian Conservatives are very much equal to our American Democrat friends. If you're uninformed and don't realize this, you need to start getting educated on what these partys stand for. The other political parties in Canada are extreme left, they are not parties running on the majority of the same viewpoints as the U.S. Democrats. Canada does not have an official extreme right party or one that can be aligned to the U.S. Republicans.

Just wanted to put my two cents in, The U.S. Republicans are not extremely right, they are moreso middleright than anything and the conservative party is much closer to the republican party than any other Canadian party, The Democrats of U.S. are closer, in reference to beliefs, are much more suited towards the NDP and the Liberals. Harper only seems to be like the Democrats because he realizes how little power he has over the U.S. and he does these things to please the current gov't

Even with Obama as leader, I still think the Liberals/NDP are a hell of a lot further extreme left than any Democrat. Unfortunately the Liberals are an extremely corrupt and dishonest party who only want power not what's in Canada's best interests.

There is no up and down.. the political spectrum goes from left to right to start off(from what I've studied) and Yes they are.. fascism is to drive the world so that it helps the few and hoards money for themselves with a DICTATOR, communism is where you distribute equally among everyone... with a DICTATOR, they are opposites but if you took your head out of YOUR ass you'd know this! You realise that Harper flip flops like mad, and doesn't stand behind his principles ,right? He had criticized the Senate for being filled up with unelected party cronies, then recently filled up all the seats. He insisted that the economy was "fine", then buckled under great pressure for economic stimulus. I understand that you might align yourself with his centrist-right political ideology, but to praise him as such a great leader is just silly. The man has no backbone.
