@fytetr Learn to spell, buddy! Every single automatic machine gun in existence in many ways stems from this gun. It also killed waaaayy more people, in total, than the mg42.

@TheN00b4Lif3 so what? should i now say "without the FG 42 and StG44 there wouldn´t be any Assault Rifle in the world today?" kind getting tired of this.... btw. smart of the germans to not use the maxim or it´s successors in ww1 but instead developing an own one (MG01 - MG08) just based on the maxim design

@tristonrf yeah but then you just change the barell in 5 seconds and the mg42 wuld have cost allot more death before the barel change. and i wuldent like to cary this big shitload around. and in the winters this thing is a joke!!!!!! much rather use an mg42
