Lindy Fralin Pure PAF humbuckers

Swapped out my Seymour Duncan Antiquitys in my LP Classic, and replaced them with a set of Lindy Fralin Pure PAF`s. They give such a clear and fat punch to the sound. I`ll demo a comparison between the two humbuckers in another vid later on.

Playing through my VISEG Magnaclone 1x12 combo. The sound is huge and fat - totally awsome!!

are you able to put coil tap on these? like split them?

No, just two wires come out of these.

would you recommend these pickups for hard rock sounds? for like a sound somewhere between AC/DC and Led Zep? or should i go with the high output LF pickups instead?

Many people believe ACDC and Led Zeppelin are about high gain amps and hot pickups. It aint! They use old Gibson guitars with PAF humbuckers (before the signature ones) and old Marshall amps set on 10. Its a very vintage set up. I highly recommend LF Pure PAF for that old school rock`n roll sound. Definitely!!

I'm in the market for buying one of these, and this video helped. They have lots of character and are super fat. If you ever get around to making another video with them, I would love to hear some rockin' chord progressions played through a higher gain setting. Sounds Great!

Thanks! In fact I do have a vid were I`m comparing the Fralins against the Antiquitys. I made the vid the day I swapped out the Antiqs. Same guitar, same amps, almost the same tunes. I try to show the differences in both the clean and the dirty sound. I would say the playing is pretty rocked up during the dirty parts. I`ll see what I can do.

I remember starting out, thinking the best pickups had to be the hottest, highest output. I've spent much time and money only to find they had it right from the gate. P90's or paf's for me now.

@crunchtester boy dont school me on rock n roll haha jk but yes i do know its mainly about the pickups and stuff like that, Angus Young used a 63' SG (dont quote me i could be wrong) with PAFs and obviously Jimmy Page had his 59' les paul with PAFs in it.
