Just down the road... around the bend,
Stands an old empty barn; nearing the end.

It has sheltered no animals for many years; No dairy cows, no horses, no sheep, no steers.

At one time the paint was a bold shade of red; Gradually faded by the sun overhead.

The doors swing in the wind... the hinges are loose, Windows and siding have taken abuse.

It is now home to pigeons, rats and mice; The interior is tattered and doesn't look nice.

Abandoned barns have become quite a trend, Just down the road... around the bend...

  • 2:35-this one caught my attention in particular, ok so this one is very dream like, how the grass in the front leads up slowly hazily to the barn and then the trees in the distance fading out into the sky.. I REALLY LIKE THAT ONE! Thank you so much for putting this together i am a huge fan of old rusty barns!

  • First off i just need to say that poem is very deep, man that was great. I have different interpretations for each barn.

1:11- MELANCHOLIC in a calm beautiful way

1:23- mysterious, wondering what's behind it in those forrests

2:16- the reflection in the water and the distance from the other side pulling away emotionally from the barn is indescribable

2:28- that one goes well with the abuse part of your poem old, deteriorating and the windows kind of look like eyes holding many harsh memories...

  • Those are just great old barns!! I love' em! A few weeks ago I just finished my old barn scale model. I invite you barn fans to have a look at my channel (ModelJunkyard) Your pictures are very inspiring for future projects!

  • This is a powerful presentation! The music you picked is exquisite and perfectly suited for such a subject. These old barns were where people worked and lived often their entire life, there are stories so deep and moving behind them. Thank you for so carefully putting this together, it is one of my favorites now!

  • I wish more people would take the time to preserve these old icons! So many you see have fallen into disrepair and will be lost forever.

    Great video! Thanks.

  • What a high

  • Love your old barns! See my spirit art paintings and old shacks. ~ Sandy Sandy

  • Really nice pictures, I like old barns I used to play in them when I was a kid. I have one myself now and we're planning on having it repaired this summer to keep it up, it seems there are fewer of the old bank barns every year.
