Oh, did you do your homework? this video is pretty accurate to the short story that accompanies 'De-Loused in the Comatorium', when It is written that Cerpin Taxt jumps of of a bridge after he wakes up from the whole ordeal. HOWEVER; 'Son et Lumiere' is about the moment when Cerpin injects himself with morphine and ratpoisen to try and kill himself... before the bridge scene ever happens... Although the video was a cool rendition of the story... if that's what you were even going for hahahhaa

@xSilencio Bowling Green, KY? there are TMV fans in kentucky other than me? I thought I was lo-oooost. Good to know that there a chance I will meet someone here that won't slowly drain the life out of me with pop conuntry.

I kind of like it. I love the old black and white film look. I think the last part started off great when you were fading in scenes with the music. But, when he got to climbing over the railing I didn't like that it just kept repeating him hopping over. It would have been nice to see him standing on the railing exhaling his last breath rather than just hopping over. It would have been cool if you edited in a shot of rat poison or something in the fading sequence instead of that bridge plaque.
Love it! The shot composition was beautiful. So many lines on that bridge. How did you fade the film? I've wanted to do that for so long and I can't figure out how.

@TwoRadFemales All of the film was processed and then recorded onto standard editing tapes and imported into Avid. All of the layering shots and editing was done in the computer program.

nice video, one problem... Son et Lumiere is about how he tries to kill himself on an overdose of rat poison, and then "NOW HE'S LOST" in the comatorium... Cerpin Taxt doesn't jump off the bridge until after he comes out of the coma... I know I'm being critical about an interpretation, but I F***** LOVE this album and I believe that this video might make more sense to TMV fans if you set it to the song Televators... Just my oppinion though from someone who's read the book and knows the story...

@Rustygallas I'm well aware of what each song means, and the album overall... no need to tell me. This was a film project, not digital, not tape. Film is expensive and we were required to buy so much of it, and for the video to be a certain length. Mine was longer than a lot of them. And Televators probably would have been better for the content, but the cost of that? And the room for error in working with film? there was no way I was going to be able to do that in college.
