I remember this one from Sesame Street. Their voices reminded me of the munchkins in the "Wizard of Oz". Hmmmmm.

  • If George Washington were standing on his head, he would lose his false teeth or throw up!

  • Since Daddy Twiddlebug was holding the stamp the whole time, if you look from 1:29-1:45, you will see that George Washington's head was facing towards the camera then from 1:46-1:50 you will see that Daddy Twiddlebug was holding the stamp upside down once all four Twiddlebugs stopped licking. That sure was strange since it never showed Daddy Twiddlebug turning the stamp upside down after licking. (If it was never turned upside down, I'm sure George Washington would be right side up).

  • I love them too!!

  • The Twidlebugs are so cute I remember them from when I was a girl. I still think they're cute even at age 32. As far as them hanging postage stamp pictures they should hang a postage stamp picture of Michael Jackson on their wall but not upside down though Ha Ha!!

  • "I hear ya talkin', daughter."

  • Good times!!!

    "'Tis a puzzlement."

  • the date on the stamp is 1975-the year i first saw this...i knew the twiddle bugs were around a while....and back then the stamps didn't taste very good..like stale sugar or mint....

  • It's funny, when I first saw this skit when I was very young and seeing the twiddlebugs licking the stamp at the end, I used to think in order for a picture to go on the wall, you have to lick the back of the picture frame, which I did that was wooden, and it made me a little sick licking the back of the wooden picture frame which was a little dirty.

  • That was a funny line. I'm not sure why they didn't just keep the stamp on the wall but turn it around right side up. Unless, maybe they thought it was right side up but, as soon as they put it on the wall, they must have thought George Washington turned himself around on his own.
