If you watch the whole movie, and understand its conext with out any b.s. biasy. Then at the end the al died after all the hard ships, tears they shed, trials, pain, sorrow, and the other difficult times they all overcame. They were the best of the best, tough and ferice. They can take hell with moral and character. All that being said, if you dont cry, you have no soul!

@101division44 I was like 8 or 9 when I first saw this and i had no idea how it ended. I cried like a baby when they went around the corner and got blasted with the cannons
-
@Mossberg850 It was actually Battery Wagner and Gould-Shaw and the valiant soldiers of the 54th still repose there though much of the area is now underwater.
-
Every time before i watch the movie I say to myself "Don't cry, don't cry." and then, at the very end, I cry.
-
@Mossberg850 They were building a walmart in Tucson and came across buried soldiers and they just took them to Fort Huachuca and buried them. I thought it was pretty disrespectful
-
this part of the film is so emotional, and the end is just shocking. really good piece.
-
@TheUnknown088,It didn't matter because it was after Gettysburg and the battle of Vicksburg.
-
If the 54th won that battle then I would've been very excited.
-
I love how they got the Boys Choir of Harlem for the Choir. They did an amazing job.

This scene gave me the goosebumps when the 54th actually broke into the fort...It felt patriotic...
