  • Like someone else who posted, I would love to know the tuning you use on this. I don't own an oud yet, but I plan to get one. I've been incorporating some arabic elements into my blues guitar playing, and I love the mix. Check "Rosetta West - Yallah" if you can. Thanks for your wonderful playing.

    the upper one is a single string.

    that is not the only tuning, you can google some more tunings, all are good.

    I listened to Rosetta West-Yallah, nice piece and it does have arabic elements.

  • Could any one please EXPLAIN to me since when this instrument become an ARABIC instrument? And don't give me the answer that since beginning of the time!!!....This is purely an Iranian instrument and NO ONE can prove differently!!!....Be well!
