  • John is the most underheard of blues/slide guitarist that's ever been.I see him every chance I get.One of these times I'm gonna invite myself to play harp with him(if he'll let me of course!)Of course he's Canadian. He's just plain enjoyable 100%.Not to mention he's one of those guys that will take the time to talk to you on a normal level.Nice guy.

Don't miss the chance to see this slide mastermind.

  • Hey xc6,

  • Great playing John! Congratulations on the recent ECMA nomination.

  • Hope to see Him Soon again

  • Still doing it all these years later - John is the real deal.

  • John:

Hello from NYC. I like your video. I found you the same way "yerfucked" did... by reading the TPB credits because I wanted to hear more pedal steel stuff like in the Christmas special.

I like your blues stuff, but where can I hear some more of your pedal steel stuff?

Also, do you ever play New York City? I and some TPB fan friends of mine would like to see you here.

  • Hey John...

Loved you at Blues on Whyte in Edmonton! Have been a huge fan since TPB's Christmas movie... Yeah, I actually read the credits to find out who the hell was playing that amazing music in the church.

  • I just saw John play the Bluesfest in Ottawa.. was BLOWN AWAY by his tunes.. showmanship was excellent.. I love that oldschool robert johnson bottleneck style! I have been to every single day of bluesfest so far (as an employee), and John was nearly the best blues act I have seen so far! Keep it up man! I love that classic acoustic style.

ps... I like girls too. :D

  • Enjoyed the Boisdale "sampler"--great evening. thanks.

  • Great work John, I caught you at Healy's in Toronto recently, great night. I voted for you good luck.
