  • Yes, multi, but how did ANY of the bricks get past that last red one? That red brick forms an air-tight seal with all the gray bricks.

    Actually, what happens is when the ball is moving really fast, it can jump over bricks on rare occasions. Let's say the screen is updated 10 times per second. For each screen refresh, each ball position is recalculated. If the before and after ball positions happen to be on opposite sides of a solid brick, then the ball has effectively jumped over it.
