BRAVO!! I want to jump up and yell bravo but I know it would upset my cats... There simply cannot be a more evocative piece of music in the classical repertoire. I am not embarrassed to say I was brought to tears, not only by the magnificent performance of the musicians but by the incredible emotional connection the conductor has with them and the score. Thank you to all involved!

My clumsy and inadequate words cannot describe the wonder and majesty of this piece of music - nor can it convey my appreciation and love for which this music is. As I work my beehives this spring, I am constantly reminded of the beauty of the Earth and our humble attempts at expression of this Love. Copeland, by this wonderful rendition, describes it perfectly. At 2:15 I cannot hold back my tears. Thank for such wonderful work and the realization that life if short, sweet and a miracle.

app. spring was written b4 but they are both based on the song Simple Gifts which was a shaker tune and possibly celtic folk tunes.

amazing peice, the trombone part is realy high. But i love hearing the music, and its great how copland and zdechlik use the same theme. Well except variations of it.
