Nothing to do with key signatures... It just lacks in rock and roll elements... which is the roots of all heavy metal. Needs to sound more like Motorhead or Amebix, as most "metal" bands these days need to do... Or they could stop marketing their music as metal, either one suits me.

I was using an example, man. and yes "rammsteinrulz". I made it back when I was 16 and haven't bothered to change it.

Anyway, black metal. Off the top of my head: Venom, Darkthrone, Hellhammer, Bathory, Burzum, Dark Funeral, 1394, Emperor, Mayhem, Immortal, Carpathian Forest, Cerberus, Thunderbolt, Tsjuder, Marduk, Krypt, Blodsrit, etc.

There is no right and wrong, but genres do have definitions, and if you're to exist beyond a definition, why keep using it? Some cheap marketing tool? Most likely.

I have been doing so, and probably will continue to do so.

Other bands I've taken a fancy to are Ghost, The Sword, recent era Darkthrone, and many of the 80's classics.

Exactly. Because there is no right and wrong in art, but for some reason people can thrust their personal standards on artists and belittle them for not being what THEY want them to be. That's just ignorant...
