What a shame that the Bixby name will no longer be carried due to his son's death. Anyone know if his mother is still alive? This was produced at least six years ago I believe.

Amazing! Speechless! Does anyone know if Mr. Bixby dyed his hair black for the rest of his career? Like Angelina Jolie, his childhood pix show a blond kid but he looks more natural with his trademark dark hair. I heard he dyed it blond to please Elvis for "Speedway"

I'm not sure but I've also wondered. His hair and eyebrows were lighter in Courtship, consistent with some photos of his youth; and the light blonde may have been dye as you mention. Possibly his hair and brows were darkened for Magician, and continued up through Hulk (and Beantown). And it does look very natural darker.

What is it with calling him Bix?Who calls people by their last name and cutting the last name short?For the first time ever i see his mom and picture of his dad...Bill Bixby you will be missed dearly,I just wish i could of met you And yes, taken a picture with you......Rest in peace..............

I think Bix is a cute nick name, better than "little Bill". And I even like Bixy :)

Bix was in a class by himself. There will never be such a well loved actor like him. Never heard a bad word about this man by anybody.

@coutnall14 no. as much as i hate it, his wife, Brenda Benet went in a horrible depression and went lesbian and divorced bill, dated tammy bruce, Arnold swarzenneger's lesbian secretery and when they broke up, Brenda went even further in depression. Tammy went to check on her one day, only to find she had locked herself in the bathrom. tammy ran out to get a payphone to call 911, only to hear a gunshot. she walks back in, Brenda was dead from suicide. Dont beileve me? look it up on wikipedia!!!
