@Badgerbitesback i havent heard that story but i've heard stories like it where the chinese would just be throwing men at american and british positions in the korean war. the men defending would be outnumbered and low on supplies and they would either win, hold off the advancement for almost a week and then lose/retreat, or hold off until reinforcements could get to them.

@Badgerbitesback there was a saying from sun tzu's art of war. i dont remember it exactly but it was something like "put a man in an impossible situation and he will fight harder than his enemy" or something lik that.

@Badgerbitesback the thing i love about last stands is you could be the worst soldiers and the biggest pussy but when put in a situation where it at least seems like your going to lose you can end up becoming one of the biggest badasses and most awesome soldier ever!

Respond to this video... ...survival dictates no thought, if you think you're dead you just ahve to kill them without a second thought, Last stands have a mythos simply because of the sacrifice that overwhelming odds forces us into... The problme with a last stand is, you can never train for it :/

@warhawk9566 You should read up on the Glosters stand along the Imjin River in 1951, they were fighting odds 7:1 against, they got cut off on Gloster hill and faught for three days, sometimes the only thing keeping the tide back was artillery, but eventually they had no cover, out of ammunition they held the Chinese off with helmets, entrenching tools, rifle buts, knives, fists, feet and heads... point is I can't imagine 'kicking major ass' is on my mind at that point...

Last stands are the coolest things that can happen in a war situation
