This is a Face tracking robot based on the Genesi ARM Cortex-A8 ( i.MX51 ) SBC. The Face Tracking software is a optimized version of the face detector found in OpenCV. It has been optimized by enabling the NEON coprocessor, and tuning the algorithm parameters.
The robot is running Ubuntu 9.10, has a 22" monitor, and uses a iRobot Create as a base.

  • Hi, nice work... I'm trying to implement a similar function on an i.MX27. Could you have a look at xxx and add some comments?

  • Nice work! But something tells me the "225 frames per second" is actually "225 milliseconds per frame", in other words 5 frames per second :-)

  • do you have the opencv libraries compiled for arm available?
