The other night, I made a test recording on one of my old VCRs to check that all was well. Seconds after pressing record, this happened: a server error at BBC News, resulting in the playout of an aborted first take of Hardtalk.

  • Reminded me of Max Headroom

  • Great cock up :)

  • maybe there biggest mistake ws reporting building 7 going down 20 minuites before it actually happened on 9/11

  • @JamsterJordo Great comment. It means nothing.

  • @JamsterJordo I got noting against them.

  • That gives us a good idea of the kind of idiots that work at the BBC. First there was Johnathan Ross and Russel Brand...

  • Ahh I didn't used to like Deborah, but compared to the infantile behaviour and mutual massaging of ego's of the daytime presenters on this channel, she and Alistair Yates are the only ones to bring BBC-standard authority and professionalism to the viewers. It's appreciated.

  • hardtalk is hard indeed

  • IT was 4:30am !

  • I agree the adverts are crap however there is no need to pay a tax for BBC when most people watch Sky and BBC can just use retail revenue like in ABC in Austraila has done using the ABC Store
