Hello Andrew. This is Jimmy playing the demo. He's the other guitarist in our band. I know he digs that pedal. I believe he uses it in conjunction with the Big Muff. Could be wrong, I'm hoping he'll chime in here.

  • Hmm, im looking at getting this pedal instead of a ts808/maxon od808. How would this compare for boosting a high gain amp (bugera 6262) for low end metal chugging etc?

  • The Maxon 808 is a pretty true 808 replica in my opinion. I've had it for quite a while, maybe 8 years or so. At that time, it didn't seem like there weren't as many options for 808 clones, and the Maxon was half the cost of the Ibanez "reissue" 808. I think it has the classic 808 sound, pretty warm across the mids, compresses nicely etc. I use it in a loop with a Big Muff pi, with it first in line. I love that combo, the huge sound of a muff with the midrange and tightness of a TS.

  • Hey, Hank, how you likin the Maxon OD808 in the corner there? Great demo btw Matt did a great job with this pedal. Thanks! @andrewelmore
