Leo Brouwer Simple Etudes- Estudios Sencillos. 1,2 3,4 5

Raymond Lohengrin performs Leo Brouwer's Simple Etudes I,II, III, IV and V. The video intro shows the cover of the second Cuban publication. The first publication was a small booklet about the size of an 8 1/2 folded page (I have the original somewhere) The cover here shows on the lower right the stamp from the Cuban "Ministerio de Cultura" The Leo Brouwer Photo I got from a Cuban Magazine in the 70's Revista Bohemia.

Excelente interpretación de la primera serie de estudios sencillos del maestro Brouwer. Tocas muy bien, no he oido una mejor interpretación de estos estudios (especialmente del primero). Felicidades!

i appreciate raymond is a very good player but the first piece is dictated as lasting 1 minute exactly in the score and he rattles through it in 40 seconds. thats a fairly hefty margin of error!

When we listen to different orchestra we found that the choice of tempo for the same work varies from one conductor to another, it is the same for the guitar. I do like also slower tempos and may play it that way sometimes :)

el primer estudio lo tokas muy rapido mi estimado, el mismo maestro Leo recomienda que debe durar aproximadamente 60 segundo. por lo que veo y escuho hermano tu lo haces en una tercera parte del tiempo recomendado. Bueno son gustos de cada uno, solo doy mi punto de vista.
