Should a coach rap your knuckles when you don't keep a commitment or should she cuddle you and say, "That's all right." Barbara Sher says, "Neither."
When something is stopping you from doing what you really love, you have to go looking for the source.

Taken from her recent weekend workshop with Der Frankfurter Ring.

  • I'm a coach, and I agree with Barbara 100%. Too many coaches believe (and teach) that behaviour is a product only of motivation. It isn't. Behaviour is a product of many factors and feelings, including resistance, fear, desire, external circumstances, beliefs etc. It doesn't always have a simple, direct relationship to these factors; but it *is* possible to work with a client to figure out what's going on, and as a result, to help them move things forward. Thanks, Barbara. Bravo!
