@Thegeeksquadofone NoOnly near I.R. It's not a thermal camera.
-
@greatmatter Does it detect the natural IR from warm objects? So if it were pitch black, would I be able to see a white figure on the screen?
-
@Thegeeksquadofone It depends on available infrared light. If there is any, it'll show it. if not, it'll be black.

What happens if you make a video at night?

I am almost certain that you must have a bright infared light source like an I.R. flashlight to see that well at night otherwise the millitary would be alll over that kind of tecknology. In your video you might have taken the shot at day because the sky was black in the shot whick meens that it was bright outside.

The video was shot at about 10am. While indoors, the shot was taken adjacent to a 100W light bulb that likely puts out a considerable amount of infrared light in addition to visible light.

Then, I just popped the housing open with a screwdriver head. I unscrewed the circuit board, then unscrewed the housing covering the CCD. I popped the filter out, then replaced it with the same size exposed and developed negative film. I put it all back together.

First, I "unscrewed" the lens until it stopped. I stuck a small screwdriver into the gap of the lens and lightly pressed the tab inwards, and unscrewed the lens more. I did it one more time until the lens was totally loose (it won't come out).
