Well done video, though the conclusion is drastically outdated since the tyranny of the elite has arrived long ago.

@abraham1934 the beginning of the republic was not perfect but it was so much better than what the papal states in europe had. a conspiracy to take away our republic has been occuring since this country was born.

every child should see this once a year at school where they should have a constitutional education month!!! like black history month

Democracy is an operative system. The Republic is the hardware. They don't oppose each other in anyway. Republicanism has taken many forms throughout History. It's only a foundation for an alternative system to monarchy. It can be many things it depends of what you do with it. I don't quite understand the terms in which you present this whole thing.

Love IT!!!!!!!

@zaurakdigis "The Civil War was over slavery".
It can be argued that the Civil War was REALLY over industrializing ALL of the U.S. and slavery had to be eliminated to eliminate the agriculture society of the South. In other words, for initiating "corporate control" of America. Slavery was not eliminated, it just took another form. I was initially taught that Lincoln was such a "good" man but later believe that he was just another paid-off politician to support the corporations.

@Aarontc2009 , you are absolutely correct and the conservative supreme court consolidated corporate power by giving them individual rights. Republicans hardly stand for a Republic or even close to being constitutional moderates. Slavery existed in the south in the 1970's. Vagrancy laws forced blacks to work off jail time in the mills and factories that refused to hire them legally. The Southern States are the reason the federal government needed to expand their role, to enforce the constitution.

@lelandshane , then what part of the constitution allowed any slavery? No matter what percentage of the population is enslaved. Post Civil War the constitution was amended to more clearly prohibit slavery. The Civil War was over slavery, states rights was always used to defend slavery and is a southern view. The victor writes history not the loser.
Taxation is hardly equal to slavery. What you seem to forget is that taxation under Obama is lower than the Reagan or Bush administration.
Good vid. But seems to me like Oligarchy since day one. Which is another way of saying rule of elite. The system of the day during the crafting of the constitution was slavery remember. Also, women had No say either. So in a broad sense the Oligarchy was the white male in general. But even the poor white male was at the bottom, but specfically we all know even among the white males -there were those who always were calling the shots behind the scenes. Oligarchy since day one people...

A US Flag Ship! Remember that's what they didn't Teach you in School the Fact's but you are correct
with the woman's right to vote The English were the slavers Not the Americans thats why we revolted ! Tax = slavery

I guess the Republic dosn't exist either. Meaning Republic is ruled by law and the law is established by few to many. So really it's another type of Democracy.

yes its another type of Democracy and they call it a Republic if that will make you feeeel good . but your wrong a trial by jury has to be unanimous and if you can't understand that then Oh well maybe try and layoff the Flouride.
