"Aurora" from Across the Echo

This piece has been edited down to 10 minutes from it's original 11:42 to fit You Tube time limits. This piece was inspired a few years ago, when we had spectacular northern lights or aurora borealis. It was so vivid. I wanted to find a way to capture the images in music. I went out with a portable synthesizer that had an on-board sequencer. I layered several tracks by just following the motion of the lights. I then added the flute track and did more production work the next morning. It was an amazing experience to connect to an energy so much larger. Some of the background synthesizer comes from actual radio frequency sounds that the Aurora makes as charged electrons interact with the Earth's magnetic field. This is another example of the energy and vibration that connects us all.
