As for the girlfriend... My dad did that to my mother and he is now single and alone. I truly doubt they'll do better - and even more so since the husband has not even taken the steps to divorce his wife. CAN he be engaged to a woman while still married to another...? ... never mind. I just hope, for the sake of the children - that they come to some sort of agreement. They at least should not have to suffer for the sins of the parents. The innocent girl most of all.

If the girl rarely sees her dad - has she even met her half siblings? For her sake the parents should come together and make a deal.. and the wife should divorce her husband without waiting for him to take that step. If he can't step up and be a proper dad to his only baby girl... I don't think he should be allowed to give his daughter a taste of having a dad... and then take it away. Rather not know than miss what one doesn't have.

@disillusionedfate, I agree that the wives anger is justifiable, current I have the same problem as my son's dad has a new girlfriend who comes with him on every visit with her 3 kids from a previous relationship which I don't like, the guys able enough to look after himself yet a couple of kids are too much for him on his own. Kids are hard, I know that but not as hard as other things to deal with.

@Landbeforetime1992 Also, I see nothing wrong with the wife's state of anger. She isn't pissed at the girl because she has the man, she's pissed because the girl doesn't seem to care that the guy has a child with the wife. Not to mention the guy doesn't act like a father should. So, her rage is definitely correct. The other girl, I don't see any real reason for her attitude considering it doesn't really have much to do with her aside from the fact that she's the new girlfriend.

@Landbeforetime1992 I can see where you're coming from, but I have to disagree. At this point, it's not good to have the girlfriend's kids and the wife's kids interact because there's bad blood between the adults. That is never good for a child because even if they don't hear or see it, they can feel the tension in the air. It's best to have them grow up separately, but have knowledge of each other and when they are old enough to make that decision they can meet each other.
