ParkZone has re-created its original P-51D park flyer, but this is not just any make-over. The new P-51D BL now includes the features that have made the ParkZone Corsair and Trojan T-28 such great airplanes. It is available as both an RTF and a BNF model. This new brushless 480 motor has 18-amp brushless speed control. A new 1300 mAh Li-Po battery contributes in a big way to the hot rod performance that the P-51D BL brings to park flyers. Beyond the performance improvement features are its durable but easy-to-repair, Z-Foam™ construction, borrowed from the Trojan and Corsair, that has proven to work so well. Everyone will love the magnetically attached removable top hatch. Battery swap-out between flights is now very easy. The P-51D is not a new RC pilots first airplane, as it requires basic intermediate flying skills. However, it is easy to fly for any pilot who has completed some basic training. This airplane has the ParkZone product designers so enthusiastic that it is difficult to nail them down long enough to find out more about it. Subsequently, we have obtained a sample for our product review. Performance, once again, is pretty amazing.

Our preview video includes an overview of the airplane components and assembly, as well as our chance to fly the model and get a feel for just what it offers to all RC pilots—maybe even some advanced guys. We found a couple of test pilots ready to show how it flies, so take a look at this video of the ParkZone P-51D BL. We think you will be ordering one of these very soon.

  • Would this plane be easy to fly if you have good expirience with the Parkzone Ultra Micro P-51?

  • @camberto5 I would probably recommend the T-28 as it's a little less edgy and more forgiving in the air.

  • thats in illinois isnt it?

  • @chrissballer Yes it is

  • now they just need to make the spitfire "BL"

  • @Dirttbike4life I'd love to see one myself! I converted one of the original ones to brushless and it is my favorite plane to fly.
