  • She seems to be wearing a TKD uniform. As a black belt I can say bad form, bad balance, bad choreography. Since sai are not TKD weapons I guess the choreography is excusable. Her form and balance are atrocious. She should not have a senior brown belt.

  • Shes got lead in her shoes...

  • I love sais they are my childhood hero's weapons (Raph) and I grew to love them myself

  • Now I completely agree with you...what she is doing is not Kobudo or karate...it is freestyle 'fun' if that...

  • Ja. Perhaps it is the user and not the Martial art. From what I can see, Her movements are very clumsy and she has no grace as she moves. A true martial artist, whatever their style should have a passion, beauty and power to the way they move. She doesn't have these....

  • @whatevs808

The Japanese kata is only done like this when its not done correct...Japanese karate came from Okinawan Karate...which came from Kung fu.

  • remember there are no set stances in Kobudo Kata, you should try and flow with the weapon you are using, therefore treating the weapon as an extntsion of 'self' not as seperate entity. think about what you are doing with each movement, especially if creating your own kata, dont blockk or strike without a reason for move.

just advice from an amature, of twenty years.

  • I think you made a good effort here however I do think you need a little work. I personally know nothing about sai but I can say that the movements that you make with the sai would not injure an opponent or block an attack. Kata need to have sharp distinct movements that have the potential to cause devastating effects but this kata looks a little clumsy. I am aware this is something you made up yourself & I admire your creativity, however more sharpness and power is needed for it to be perfect.
