Rise up your pints and sing along to the Wild Rover, a staple at any Irish Pub. Sorry, no peeking under me kilt.

  • This song is a classic example of a song that no one knows where it came from! Scotland or Ireland

  • @grb2980363 I went from 94-98 and we had one year a guy from Ireland who would play on Tuesdays and he would place this every time loved it

  • @TheCasperOne I was at GSW in '86. Don't quite remember this at Pat's Place.

  • This takes me back to college. to Pat's Place in Americus, GA Those were some awesome nights.. No More..sigh

  • @mullac1980 its only considered irish because people dont realise its scottish.

  • @skrubal1 har it depends how much hes used it!

  • The song is mainly considered Irish however its origins started in Scotland in the year 1700 it came into Irish taverns around 1825 however was actually more popular in America with Scots imigrants introducing it to North America.

  • The origins are contested like most folk songs..

  • Its a Fucking IRISH folk song, dick

  • Nice playing.
