Årets LP1 hund 2007 og Årets LP2 hund 2008.
Så kom dagen hvor Odie skulle kæmpe om at blive Årets LP2 lydigheds-hund. Det havde været en hård kamp hele året for at opnå 3 rigtig gode resultater, som man tager med og lægger sammen med dagens finale-resultat. Odie havde 650,5 point med til finalen ud af 660 mulige 3,5 point efter Hele som lå nr. 1 med sin Border Collie. Vi vidste altså at det kunne blive knald eller fald. Der skal så lidt til for at vende det hele. Startrækkefølgen blev afgjort ved lodtrækning. Helle skulle ind som nr. 2, og Odie og jeg som nr. 5. Helle lavede et flot program lige indtil fremadsendelsen til feltet Pepsi blev lidt forvirret og løb ikke direkte ud i feltet, og endte med at blive dækket af bag feltet. Men man kan aldrig vide helt sikkert hvad dommeren vil dømme øvelsen til, så Odie og jeg blev stadig nødt til at præstere et topresultat, hvis vi skulle gøre os håb om at vinde. Som sædvanligt laver vi en elendig fri ved fod :o( det kører bare ikke når vi er til konkurrence. Men så tog vi os sammen og lavede rigtige pæne øvelser i resten af programmet. Bortset fra Odies fri ved fod, mister hun kun et halvt point i indkald, da hun går lidt for langt fra mig. Resten af øvelserne fik vi 10 i, altså max point. Spændingen var stor til præmieoverrækkelsen, men denne gang blev det altså Odie og jeg som løb med sejren.
Og tja... nu er lille Odie i en alder af to år altså Årets LP1 hund og Årets LP2 hund... ikke så dårlig gået af en lille Schapendoes :o)

Dette blev så Odie's sidste konkurrence inden hun (efter planen) skal have sit første kuld hvalpe med super-skønne Willem Bowie v.h. Fijne Oord.
Obedience dog in class LP1 2007 and now Obedience dog in class LP2 2008.
At last the day arrived when Odie was going to participate in the finals of becoming the best obedience dog in class LP2 in the Danish Kennel Club. During the season there had been quite a fight get 3 realy good results. You take these 3 best results with you to the finals and add the score of the finals to them and you have the best obedience dog of the year. Odie had collected 650,5 points out of 660 possible points, but 3,5 points behind the leading Border Collie. We both knew that the final competition ment everything or nothing. Just a little mistake could result in success or failure. After a lottery the Border Collie was starting as no 2 and Odie as no 5. The BC made a nice programme just until the "sending the dog to a square 10 meters away". The BC seemed a little confused, was not running straight to the square and ran then through the square and was stopped behind it. Now it was up to the judge to decide how to give that performance points, but no matter how many points it would give the BC, Odie still have to deliver one of her best results.
(As usual to a competition that means something) we started with a terrible "free on foot", but then we were more the team we normaly are, and made quite nice excercises in the rest of the programme. When we get the results we got maximum score in all excercises except the poor free on foot and lost half a point in "calling back the dog during walk". Everybody was excitet before the final results, but in the end Odie and I ran with the trophy this year.
Well, now little Odie is both best LP1 of the year and best LP2 of the year ...not bad for a little 2 year old Schapendoes ;o)
This was the last competition before Odie will be mated with lovely Willem Bowie v.h. Fijne Oord.
